Rayong is 180 km from Bangkok by road and easily accessible
from the capital city being only 3 hours away by road.
There are no direct flights to Rayong instead there
are regular buses running from Bangkok and other areas
that make regular daily trips to the area.
From Bangkok by main road No. 3 or Sukhumvit
road it is about a 3 hour drive to Rayong. You can hire
a taxi from the Bangkok area to Rayong province for
about 2,000 Baht.
from Bangkok: The bus leaves from Eakamai or Morchit
stations with trips starting from 04.00 until 22.00
every 40 minutes. Air conditioned bus costs around 100
Baht and the non-air conditioned bus costs around 60
Baht one way. The Eastern Bus Terminal located on Sukhumvit
Rd., Soi 40, Ekkamai, tel. 3912504 or 392-2391, usually
referred to as Ekkamai, is for Pattaya and points southeast,
to Rayong and Trat province.
